Eligibility
ENLIGHTEN is a T32 grant program funded by the NIH. To be eligible for the ENLIGHTEN program, candidates must:
- Be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents, under the eligibility criterion set by the NIH.
- Hold an MD or PhD degree in a health, biomedical, or social science closely related to epidemiology, global health, health services, psychology, or neuropsychology.
- MD candidates must have completed residency in neurology or a neurology-allied field by the fellowship start date.
Requirements
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- A one-page personal statement describing the reason for seeking research training in health equity and their specific interests within ENLIGHTEN.
- Transcripts for undergraduate and graduate education.
- A letter of support from a minimum of one committed ENLIGHTEN faculty mentor.
- A letter of recommendation from the most recent direct supervisor.
Application Process
- Complete this online application.
- Selected applicants for an interview will be asked to submit a specific aims page and a career development plan for a research proposal to be developed during the program.
Deadline
Applications are due by January 15, 2026. Accepted fellows will be notified by the spring of 2026.
